Life is just way too complicated not to write about it.
Writing is my first and foremost love.
While I do not confess to be a poetry expert or even a “best selling” poet, I humbly remain a ‘waxing lyrical’ writer. Poetry is the channel through which I best express my hidden thoughts, emotions, fears and desires. Each poem represents an accurate snapshot of my life – a journal entry so to speak.
In the apt words of some of the greatest poets:
Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion; it is not the expression of personality, but an escape from personality. But, of course, only those who have personality and emotions know what it means to want to escape from these things.”
~ T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright“A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.”~ Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet
